Wow it has been 6 years

I just realized that the last time I posted was in 2020 and all I can say is wow 6 years have posted and I have not updated or written a blog in a long time. We no longer live in Fresno and we now live on the Central Coast again. We decided it would be great to live back near family and boy is it ever. Malcolm absolutely loves seeing his grandma and grandpas daily and he loves it when he can see his auntie and uncle. We don't really get to go to jazz festivals very much because of James work schedules and because of finances at times. Malcolm is going into 5th grade (I can't believe I have a 5th grader). He has taken up piano and is taking lessons in the summer. We absolutely love his teacher... she is part of our church family. Not only is he doing piano but he has started singing with the jammers at BSR Sundays. Malcolm now has a keyboard, drums, a ukulele, two guitars, a trumpet, and a cornet. Malcolm did do robotics this year for school as well and he loved it. In 5th grade he wants to do band and he has told me he wants to learn saxophone and he wants to also do robotics again. Malcolm did a project on William Shakespeare and he did an amazing job. Malcolm also decided a few years ago that he wanted to be baptized so he got baptized. Malcolm went to winter camp last winter and he has decided to go to summer camp. Malcolm also still does Awana's. James works at the casino so I hardly get to see him but we are growing strong still. I am an instructional aide at the school district and it has been such a great experience. I have met some great people. Malcolm had his first broken bone and his first surgery as well. Yes it isn't much but Malcolm broke his finger and it was broken at a 12 degree angle. We ended up deciding to do surgery so that he wouldn't have any problems in the future and so it wouldn't cause problems with piano playing. He was very nervous but we had an amazing staff that helped ease him and helped ease us. He even went to a school dance and a car show.
